Creative storage has always driven me mad.
Storing and managing creative work has always really annoyed me. We are working on something, and nobody knows where the file is. Somebody finally sends me a Google Drive link, and the permissions are wrong, and they have just gone off for two weeks.
A gallery asks for some images, and it takes me hours to get them together in a folder to send. Then what the person at the other end gets is an ugly list of file names. I want it to look beautiful and do the work justice, and I want them to be able to preview it and download it without signing up for anything.
Or we are on a shoot, and loads of people are getting content on phones and cameras and who knows what else, and somehow at the end of it all that has to be rounded up in one place. It is a nightmare.
I made Storehouse for my own studio, which is small but busy, because we had had enough of Dropbox and Google Drive. Air was amazing, but it got expensive, and it filled up with enterprise AI plugins my studio simply did not need.
So the long and short of it is that I have made Storehouse for creative people to store, save and share creative work, affordably and easily. I really hope it helps you stay on top of your stuff and makes your life a bit easier, so you can focus on what really matters, making things.

Is Storehouse a digital asset management system?
Yes. Digital asset management is usually shortened to DAM. Storehouse does many of the things people use DAM software for, including storing, organising, finding and sharing creative assets. The difference is that Storehouse is designed to be much simpler and more accessible than traditional enterprise DAM software.
Is Storehouse an alternative to Dropbox for creatives?
Storehouse can be used instead of Dropbox for many creative workflows. Dropbox is general purpose cloud storage. Storehouse has been designed specifically around creative work, with visual browsing, collections, sharing, client facing pages and tools for collecting files from collaborators.
Is Storehouse an alternative to Google Drive for creative work?

Yes. Storehouse only stores the original file once. The same asset can appear in multiple projects, boxes or collections without creating duplicate copies.
Does Storehouse duplicate my files?
No. An asset is stored once and can then appear wherever you need it. This helps prevent duplicated files and confusion about which version is current.
Can I search by colour?
Yes. Storehouse includes visual search features including colour search, making it easier to find work even when you do not remember the filename.
